Alpha Dog? What that?

Pop bought me a "Friend" from Orvis. Now I know that Friend is really a stuffed fuzzy simulation of a dog. That don't matter on several fronts.  First, it helps replace the loss of my litter mates and secondly, it gives me something to lay my head on while sleeping.  Plus I can get all my alpha dog frustrations out on Friend. If only he would fight back, the chicken!

Clean House...err Crate and Lets Crawl Ya'll.

Yeah, thats me innocently enuf after pulling everything out of my crate. You might say..house cleaning day!

If you can't go over, then why not go under. This is a new game I developed on my own. Crawl under, hang for a moment and crawl out. Kinda like a peek-a-boo!

Forgot to tell you I weighed 9.2 lbs at the Vet Monday the 25th. Pop weighed me this AM the 28th and I'm 11.3 lbs. Pop is talking about a Home Equity Loan to fund my feeding bill. You really don't think he is serious do you?

You know the routine. Spend money for a toy and I play with a piece of cardboard.

I, Jasper, am good at recycling everything. Water goes in one end and out the other, dog food becomes fertilizer and I'm training Pop to not only use a roll of paper towels to clean up my mess; but, to throw me the cardboard core as a toy. Yummy, something I can tear up without getting in trouble.  BTW (by the way) I'm already hanging on to Pop's legs so he can't walk, love to pull on his robe and I'm rocking the world at Kure Beach.
Pop is keeping me close to home until I get all my shots. On the few excursions to meet Pop's friends they are all going overboard with all this mushy, mushy stuff about how pretty I am. Yuck!  I'll be glad when they get over it!
Till next time, Jasper.

Day Three- Monday.

Hey I'm already bigger than Larry's foot!Had to make up the bed myself. Larry is determined to raise me to be self sufficient.
Went to the Doctor today for my first physical with my new parents. Passed with flying colors. Got a Bordetella - First Vaccine whatever that is. Scheduled more shots February 9th. I'm impressed with my vet. He also takes care of all the K-9 brothers (dogs) for the police department. This guy knows his stuff. If you ever come to Carolina/Kure Beach I'll introduce you to him. Larry is telling everybody that my personality is blossoming as I continue to feel more comfortable with my new location and family. I admit, tho, that I still miss Tim, Jen, Chance, Baby and my other 9 brothers and sisters. Maybe someday they'll come for a visit or we can visit them.

Day two, Sunday @ K Largo (new home).

You would think "Christmas" when Joyce and Larry pulled out all those toys. I'm going to like these two. I feel comfortable enuf to really lap down the water and chow down on a mixture of  Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy food with Nutro MAX Large Breed Puppy food. I quickly trained my new family to take me out every 20 minutes to tinkle and every 45 minutes to poop. After all I am a growing boy with a healthy appetite. It didn't take them long for me to teach them. Uh oh, they also learned to put me in the crate to make me hold it longer when they were tired of monitoring me.

I do like my crate. It is my own little space in this big world. I get to bring things in, arrange them and re-arrange them all my own.

Jasper at my new home.

Ok! Saturday finally arrived and so did my newly adopted family. Chance and Baby met them first to give their approval then I made my grand entrance. Seems I was nervious and they were excited. As I was leaving in my new Pop's arms Mom (Baby) stood up on her hind legs and gave me a goodbye nuzzle/kiss. So sad!!!!! That image will forever stay in my mind.
After 6 hours of traveling I finally reached my new home. A beach house. Wow, this is going to be ALL RIGHT! Of course the first thing a growing pup like me had to check out is the water and food (see above). Then I sniffed every little corner to get my new home imprinted in my mind. What a long day....time to hit the crate. Nite all!

Hello World! My name is JASPER and I will not let you forget it!

Hello you big beautiful World or should I say big beautiful World Wide Web better known as "www".

Hey, anyway, my name is "Jasper By Chance".  Chance is my Dad. Get it!!  Yes, as of this date I'm only eight weeks old. You can follow my life's experiences as I nudge around this bright, reality World and report it on the virtual "www" world.

Since I'm only 8 weeks I don't know any bad, only the good and let's keep it that way.

Speaking of good, tomorrow I'm meeting my newly adopted family Larry and Joyce. They are driving six hours to pick me up and six more hours to take me home. Sounds like a nice family, huh! I'll bet they are as nice as my Breeder Family Tim and Jen. You know, or lets say I know, that Tim and Jen did a really good job of matching my Mom (Baby) and Dad (Chance) to create Jasper (me). You can see my whole family including me at web.mac.com/amdboxers .
I'm the one looking over everybody. Lets just say I'm on the top of my world.

Gotta go now and get my beauty sleep. Tomorrows a big day!!!
