Karley says, "For my birthday, all of my families dogs were here to help me celebrate.  It was Thanksgiving, but I considered it my birthday party, also.  Here is a picture of the group.  I'm the pretty one.  We had a great time!"

Jasper Teaches Pop A Thing or Two.......

Jasper gets a  new daybed.

Two hours later while Pop took an afternoon nap, Jasper destroyed (ate, schredded) his "now trashed" daybed.

Jasper get's a belly ach and doesn't eat/poop for 2 days. So off to the Vet for XRay's, shot, medicine, you name it. Thank goodness no blocked bowels.

Pop buys and starts reading "What The Dog Saw" so he could better understand Jasper.

Jasper's 1st birthday and 52lbs.

All that Jas (Jasper) wishes all my litter mates a belated Happy Birthday. Yep, it has been a long struggling first year, parting with Mom (Baby), Dad (Chance), our wonderful breeders AMD Boxer's family Tim, Jen, Alex, getting new adopting families, learning when and where to pottie, vets (ugh), doggie schools/training, growing in body while our minds are still childish, chewing up all thing chewable and some not!

Love Those Ft Fisher Morning Runs!!!!

Gorgeous sunrise today at Ft Fisher beach front. Pop was so envolved in taking photos that the tide washed away my retractable leash. Yep! He took my leash off, laid it on the sand at the edge of the surf, while he was busy watching me and taking photos the surf  sneaked up and pulled my leash into the ocean depths.

Ever a Sentry, I have to scan the horizon!

Jasper's First Participation In a Sting Operation!

The results of the sting is apparent above his left eye. Score- Bee 1 Jasper 0!

Yes, this wasp flew onto the front porch and Mr. Curious just had to sniff it. Well, the wasp poped Mr. Jas and flew off. Pop found the nest underneath the porch and blasted it with the water hose. Score- Pop 1 Wasp 0! 

Better Late Than Never Pop Says.

I apologize for my inactivity lately. Pop and I have been very busy. We had a Sell Contract on the Raleigh house and were feverishly working to pack, arrange movers..etc. We got it all line up and had half of our stuff packed when the contract fell through. What a bummer!

Anyway, I have been traveling up and down I-40 from Raleigh to Kure Beach every week.

Pop opened the hatch and I jumped in ready to travel.

Pop, are you coming or what? Lets get going. I want to hit the surf again.

The Fort Fisher Flasher......er..Splash!

Star Date 30 June 2010 6:00AM: 

Jas discovers Fort Fisher on the Southern end of Pleasure Island. Jas takes his first opportunity to place in the surf. Surf is up, ya'll.

This water has a strange salty, minerally, fishy smell. What's that all about? I can twirl and splash..wow!    

Pop, this is the best sunrise ever!

Land ho yon beautiful maiden perched on top of the rocks there.

Come on down, we'll surf together.

Now Pop, tell me one more time how to wave surf? I need a little help here. 

 

One more cooling off trot up the beach, a cold rinsing shower plus dry off for the perfect start of the day.

And it is only 7am.  Not bad for a pup that use to not like taking a bath, huh?

Stress Kills, Discover The Kure!

 Jas watches the Sunrise with Pop at Kure Beach. Notice the 2 kids on the lifeguard stand shouting, "Bring it on." to that slowly rising ball-of-fire.

Wow! Another day, another couple of walks Pop! Lets get it on.

So Jas is walking and stumbles upon a strange, shall we say "dog"! 

To which Jas says to Pop, "That dog must still be sleeping."  Pop says, "No pup that dog is frozen in time".
